The Leeds Humanities Research Institute “exists to help researchers in the Faculty of Arts develop and implement projects and collaborations, to provide a meeting point for interdisciplinary conversations, and to support the development of researchers’ careers. As such, it plays a key role in the intellectual life of the arts and humanities community at Leeds.”
In the 2013/2014 academic year, the LHRI are supporting the L@L PGR group. It provides the meeting space in which the fortnightly sessions take place, and has provided funding that allows the group to attract and host guest speakers visiting from other institutions, which will bolster the status of the group and move towards achieving its aims.
It is hoped that in combination with the LHRI we can establish a Language at Leeds Postgraduate Research group that will attract both campus and national audiences, and continue to showcase PGR research and flourish long after its founders have moved on from the University.
